Silent Scribbles

Jasmine Crockett

General Information:

Born: March 29, 1981 in St. Louis, MO

Father: Joseph Crockett- Pastor and Teacher, maybe contractor

Mother: Gwen Crockett- Retired Postal worker

— Can’t find much information about her parents or her childhood. What is known is her parents are wealthy.

Attended an all-girls Catholic school in St. Louis, then Rhodes University (private college in Memphis, TN), then University of Houston Law. She graduated with a BA in Business Administration from Rhodes and a Juris Doctor in Law from U of HL. She passed the bar in 2006.

She was an Assistant Public Defender for Bowie County in Texas. Started her own law firm and took pro bono cases for BLM protestors.

She became a Texas State Representative in 2021, then a United States Representative for Texas in 2023. She was a co-chair for the Harris/Walz campaign.

Jasmine opposed the final passage of the Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2023 and supports Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan.

Her estimated net worth is $9 million. She has several million dollar properties in Texas.

She has kept her personal life very private. No one knows if she is married or has kids.

Around March 23rd, she made the statement “On March 29th, it’s my birthday and all I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down” at a Tesla Takedown. While what she said is not directly calling for violence, its implications are clear, especially to her supporters.

March 24th, several incendiary bombs were found in a Tesla showroom in Austin, Texas. Had these gone off prior to being discovered, the devastation would have been immense.

I find it ironic that her father is a Methodist pastor and she is indirectly calling for violence and murder. The phrase “taken down” can mean a variety of things, including murder. Even though she hasn’t said directly to kill Elon, her supporters are obviously taking her words to mean that. I grew up Methodist myself and I know that no true Methodist or Christian for that matter would be saying these words.

Not only is her support of the “Tesla Takedown” problematic, but her support for BLM. Black Lives Matter is an incredibly violent group. In 2020, several cities were destroyed during the BLM protests.

If you look at the whole picture of her adult life, she IS a supporter of violence despite her words.

Perhaps we should be holding those in power accountable for their words and how they affect people.
